Englefield Park

Directions

From M4 junction 12 take the A4 towards Newbury. Then turn right onto the A340 towards Pangbourne. Go past the turning on your left for Bradfield and the entrance to Englefield House. Take the next turning on the left for Englefield Village. The parking will be in a timberyard approximately 1/2 mile on your right.

The deer park at Englefield is a lovely place to meet. When crop rotation allows we hunt over the fields around the deer park and cross the park in front of the house. On a sunny day that is a good photo opportunity. The lines at Englefield offer an unusual variety of jumps. The lines include some post and rail fences, some small optional hedges and some good gallops over grassland and setaside or stubble. All of the fences are very suitable for novices and children.
